The professional name of blister is vacuum forming technology, and the English name is Vacuum Forming. Vacuum forming technology was born in the 1930s, and has continued to mature with the development of the times.

Vacuum forming is a plastic processing technology, it is actually a type of thermoforming.

Its core principle is: heating the flat plastic hard sheet to make it soft, and then suck it on the mold surface with the help of vacuum, and when it cools, it becomes the shape we want.

Steps to make blister

So, what is the process of vacuum forming? It is mainly divided into the following three steps:

Step 1: Warm up

Heat the plastic sheet to soften it (the yellow sheet in the picture below).

Step 2: Forming

The air inside the male mold is sucked out through the air extraction holes inside the male mold. At this time, the softened plastic sheet is tightly adsorbed to the surface of the male mold due to the air pressure, and its shape is naturally the same as that of the male mold. The sheet is solidified after cooling. .

Step 3: Finishing

Take out the formed blister product, then align the edges and corners for trimming and finishing, and finally get the effect we want.
